Workforce Transitions - Equity at Work
Equity (not) at Work Close to 40 years ago, when I was working as a compensation analyst for a small federal board, I became aware of pay equity as an issue. There were female professionals doing substantially the same work as men but were paid less, even in Canada's public service. The case that struck me most became famous, if not notorious. It was Librarians (mostly female) who performed virtually the same work as Historical Researchers (mostly male) yet were paid less.
